Haydock Douay-Rheims Bible

The Douay-Rheims Old and New Testaments, complete with the comprehensive commentaries compiled by Rev. Father George L. Haydock, is waiting for your order. This famous Bible gets its name from the fact that in the 19th century the Rev. George Haydock collected commentary from many of the Fathers and Doctors and appended it to every page of the Douay.
Although the Catholic scriptural and patristic commentaries appear in standard footnote format they are abundant enough to fill a half to two-thirds of each page. What are these commentaries? Holy Scripture gives us a fitting analogy from the Book of Proverbs (25:11) that might well be applicable. The highest wisdom of the fathers and doctors of the Church, like “apples of gold” ornamenting the seventy-two “beds of silver” (the books of the Bible), make up the bulk of this collection of scriptural insights and footnotes. How important are these commentaries today? For Catholics serious about treading the straight and narrow moral path there is, in our times, a seductive danger to the faith which masquerades itself as an “angel of light.” Sadly, many unwary Catholics have fallen into bible-thumping fundamentalist sects because they were ignorant of the scriptures. It is time we did something about this travesty of defection and arm ourselves with the wisdom that is in the mind of the Church. There is no English edition of Holy Scripture that compares with this mighty jewel bequeathed to Holy Mother Church.

Liber Usualis, The
If you want to sing the Mass or the Divine Office, you'll find this book to be an essential tool. It is the book of Gregorian Chant.
The Liber Usualis contains the music and text for all the Ordinaries and most of the Propers of the Mass for the Church's Liturgical Year, as well as Prime, the Little Hours, Vespers, and Compline for all the days of the week and feastdays of the year.
As well as the Mass and Divine Office, the Liber is a wealth of other Gregorian chants: Benediction, Litanies, music for funerals and other occasions.
The edition we offer is a reprint of № 801, originally published in Belgium in 1953 and edited by the Benedictines of Solesmes. The Introduction and Rubrics are all in English. It follows the traditional liturgy codified by the Church in the Council of Trent, and does not contain any of the modernist reforms which led up to Vatican II and the Novus Ordo. It retains the traditional Holy Week and traditional Psalter.
This edition of the Liber is hardbound, and embossed on the front cover with the words Liber Usualis in gold leaf. It has red page edges, a sewn binding, and six colored ribbon markers.

We are offering our readers a three-volume reproduction of the entire traditional Roman Ritual with the Latin orations and the literal English translation side by side.
Volume one of this indispensable liturgical manual includes the complete liturgical formulas for six of the seven sacraments and their ritual rubrics (in red print), followed by the traditional prayers and rubrics governing the proper ceremony to be observed in the various kinds of religious processions that fall under divine worship. Being that this Ritual is for priestly administrations, the ceremony for the consecration of a bishop is not included. In special cases a priest can administer Confirmation, therefore the Ritual does include that rite as it is ordered to this special ministration.
The second volume of the Roman Ritual, Christian Burial, Exorcims, Reserved Blessings, Etc. completes this manual for priestly functions. Volume Two includes the rites for various burials, the ofice for the dead, the prayers for exorcisms, reserved blessings, litanies, and registers to be kept by pastors. All of the contents are present in Latin and English.
The third volume of the complete manual for priestly functions. Containing almost 500 pages of official blessings in both Latin and English (with rubrics) for every person place, thing or event you can imagine. Every priest needs a copy.
All volumes are hardcover, printed in red and black ink, and have a satin ribbon page marker.
Volume 1 : 608 pages, available separately for $70.00
Volume 2 : 480 pages, available separately for $70.00

How to Say the Breviary (E-Book)
Confraternity BooksAdapted from Bernard Hausmann's "Learning the Breviary" by Bernard G.J. Hall, CSPP

Since Fr. Bernard Hausmann, S.J. first wrote this definitive set of instructions for the Divine Office, the Liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church has seen a gradual onslaught by her enemies that has resulted in the almost complete obliteration of the Catholic Breviary. The pathetic substitutes used by the Novus Ordo Church and the 1962 "traditionalists" bear little if any resemblance to the true Catholic liturgy used before the masonic-inspired "reforms" of the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
Addressing the lack of true Catholic worship, the Confraternity of Ss. Peter & Paul was founded in September 2001, just a few weeks before the Islamic attack on the United States. Since then, the Confraternity has labored relentlessly to provide Catholics with a complete online source for the Roman Catholic Breviary, not only in Latin, but with an accurate and dignified English translation.
The founder of the Confraternity, Bernard Hall, has now taken Hausmann's original instructions on how to say the Breviary, and updated it using the resources of modern word-processing technology. Over a hundred color diagrams and illustrations result is an exhaustive, yet easy-to-read description of the Breviary and the rubrics you will need to begin reciting it. If you're already familiar with the Breviary, it provides a useful reference manual which will help you check any of the more obscure rubrics. And if, like many, you have been drawn closer to the truth by exposure to the pseudo-traditional 1962 liturgy, you should now take a little time to examine the real Breviary which Catholics prayed in the years before Vatican II.
